This page exists so you can check our work. It sets out what we measure, what we weight most heavily, what gets a casino dropped, and — the part most comparison sites leave out — what we do not verify.
What We Score, and How Heavily
Every casino is assessed against seven criteria. The weighting reflects what changes a UK player's actual experience, not what looks impressive in marketing copy.
Criterion | Weight | What we measure |
|---|---|---|
Licensing and regulation | 20% | Valid offshore licence, licence number verifiable against the regulator's own register, named operating company |
Bonus value vs wagering | 20% | Real cost after the turnover condition, not the headline percentage |
Game variety | 15% | Total titles published by the operator, live dealer coverage, sports markets where offered |
Withdrawal speed and limits | 15% | The payout window the operator publishes, and any weekly or monthly caps |
Payment methods | 10% | Card, e-wallet and crypto acceptance; whether deposit and withdrawal routes match |
Customer support | 10% | Channels offered, hours staffed, response to a written pre-deposit question |
Mobile compatibility | 10% | Load behaviour, live game stability, cashier and account pages on a standard handset |
Where Our Figures Come From
Every number on our casino list — match rate, bonus ceiling, free spin count, stated payout window, library size — is taken from the operator's own published offer terms on the date shown at the top of the page, and re-read at the next scheduled check.
Where an operator does not publish a figure, we say so instead of estimating one. That is why several entries tell you to take the wagering multiple off the offer page yourself: the operator has not published it, and inventing a number would be worse than admitting the gap.
What We Do Not Claim
We do not claim to have deposited at every site we list. Where we have not, we do not imply otherwise.
We do not publish star ratings derived from anything other than the criteria above.
We do not accept payment to move a brand up a list. We are paid a commission when a reader opens an account through a link here, and that commission does not set the order.
We cannot verify what an operator does after you deposit. No comparison site can. Our figures describe published terms, not guaranteed behaviour.
What Gets a Casino Removed
A casino comes off the list immediately if it withholds a verified withdrawal without explanation, changes bonus terms retroactively, goes unresponsive on support channels for more than 72 hours, or if its licence lapses or cannot be matched against the regulator's register.
We do not wait for a pattern before acting on a licence problem. A licence number that does not resolve is a single-strike removal.
How Often We Re-Check
Full re-reads of every listed operator's offer terms run quarterly. An unscheduled re-check is triggered by a cluster of new complaints on public review platforms, a licence status change, or a material terms update.
The “Updated” date on each page reflects the most recent publication of that page.
How We Treat Sister Brands
Several brands in our list publish identical offer terms, identical library sizes and identical payout windows. Where the published data indicates shared ownership or shared software, we say so in the review rather than presenting them as independent choices. This matters because a self-exclusion or account closure at one brand does not carry across to its siblings, and a payment dispute at one is handled by the same operator that runs the rest.
Tell Us We Are Wrong
If a figure on this site no longer matches an operator's published terms, tell us and we will re-check it. Corrections are made on the page, not buried. Contact us.
